GM Collision Repair Network Centre

A Silverado towing a trailer up the 416 and a Lyriq cruising through Westboro don’t have much in common underneath.

One’s a body-on-frame work truck, and the other’s a battery-electric crossover on GM’s Ultium platform. That said, both have a General Motors badge, and both need a shop with decades of experience that recognizes the slightest differences between the most similar models.

Our body shop has been putting Ottawa’s vehicles back on the road since 1960, and GM has placed us in its Collision Repair Network, backed up by our 15+ manufacturer certifications hanging in our shops.

GM checks what’s on the shop floor, what our people have trained on, and how the finished repairs measure up. Underneath that accountability is our I-CAR Gold Class certification, and the experienced crew doing the work has Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac and Buick vehicles in the bays most weeks.

Whichever badge is on yours, the work looks like this:

  • Structural and frame correction, verified against GM’s own dimensional data for that model year
  • ADAS calibration when required, because bumper and windshield work can knock a sensor out of aim
  • Paint refinishing mixed to the factory colour code on your vehicle’s build sheet
  • Panel work with enough realignment afterward that seals seat properly and gaps read even down the side

What Is The “GM Collision Repair Network”?

GM describes the Collision Repair Network as a metrics-driven group of collision centres judged on technological training, equipment quality and customer service.

However, enrolment isn’t open to just any shop. GM won’t take on a shop without specific I-CAR requirements, and it won’t keep one that lets the standing lapse.

Here’s what this means for your repair:

  • Dealer-level diagnostic equipment, so a fault in your vehicle’s electronics gets read properly instead of guessed at
  • Welding gear rated for aluminum, which behaves nothing like steel and won’t survive the wrong settings
  • Your frame measured against GM’s own numbers, not lined up by eye
  • Extra training before we touch the difficult ones, from the aluminum-bodied Corvette to anything battery-electric

Then there’s what actually goes back on the vehicle. Genuine GM collision parts are made to the tolerances, coatings and crush behaviour of the originals, and GM writes its repair procedures assuming that’s what you’re fitting.

Choose a shop without the certification, and there’s a greater risk the structure and the electronics aren’t brought back to manufacturer specification.

Our Expert Services

GM builds across too many platforms for one estimate to fit them all. A Yukon, a Corvette and a BrightDrop van fail differently in a collision, and each one needs its own plan on the way back.

Our Services Include:

  • Collision damage from light cosmetic work through to full structural rebuilds
  • Computerized frame measuring and pulling
  • Paintless dent repair for hail, door dings and creases that haven’t broken the finish
  • Colour matching and blending across adjacent panels so a repair isn’t obvious
  • Auto glass and windshield replacement, with the forward-facing camera recalibrated afterward
  • High-voltage handling on the Bolt, Lyriq, Hummer EV and BrightDrop
  • Scan diagnostics at intake and again at completion, with recalibration as the repair dictates

Collision repairs are backed by the CSN National Lifetime Warranty, honoured at 270+ CSN locations across Canada, so the coverage holds wherever you are in the country.

Every job runs through our 24-point collision process, and on a GM vehicle that means we sign off on the structural measurements and post-repair scan before anyone phones you.

We manage the insurer end, adjuster included, so approvals never become your problem. While the vehicle’s with us, any of our locations can sort out a rental or a shuttle, and it goes home detailed at no extra charge.
