The Hornet, Journey and Grand Caravan are discontinued, but plenty are still on Ottawa roads. If you’re driving one, we can still service and repair it to the same certified standard as any current Dodge.
Dodge is an interesting brand to repair because one badge can mean two very different vehicles.
For example, the Charger Daytona is fully electric, while the newer Charger R/T and Scat Pack run on a gas-powered engine. It’s the same badge and look, but the repair work is nothing alike.
On the Daytona, the battery has to be safely powered down before we can touch the body, and the safety cameras and sensors need to be recalibrated once it’s back together. That’s not a step we can skip, and it’s not something every shop is equipped to handle.
The Durango brings its own demands, with a three-row structure and high-output variants that put real load through the chassis.
No matter what you drive, the work includes:
- Structural and frame correction, measured against Dodge’s published factory dimensions
- Body panel replacement, then realignment until the gaps sit where they should
- Paint refinishing matched to your paint code, including the loud heritage colours Dodge is known for
- ADAS calibration when required, after any work that disturbs a camera, radar unit, or sensor mount
What Is a “MOPAR Certified Collision Repair Facility”?
Dodge doesn’t run its collision certification under the Dodge name. It runs through MOPAR®, the parts and service arm behind Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat.
A shop that clears the standard becomes a Mopar Certified Collision Repair Facility, a program Stellantis oversees in Canada alongside Certified Collision Care.
You can’t just apply your way in. The program audits what a shop actually has and actually does: training records, the equipment on the floor, the tooling, and the repair procedures being followed day-to-day.
Facilities are re-checked, so certification has to be maintained, not earned once and forgotten. I-CAR Gold Class is the entry requirement. From there, Mopar adds training built around the systems and materials specific to these vehicles.
What this means for your repair:
- We work from Dodge’s published repair procedures, not generic collision guidelines
- We fit genuine Mopar parts, so the fit, the finish, and the rust protection match what left the factory
- Our equipment aligns with what these vehicles need, from frame benches to calibration gear
- Our training is verified by somebody other than us
Your warranty is part of this as well. Dodge coverage assumes collision work gets done with approved parts and factory methods, so staying inside the program protects it.
The bigger issue is the repair itself: at an uncertified shop, the risk that your structure and safety systems never return to manufacturer specification goes up.
